Primary care
Primary care is the foundation of staying well: annual check-ups, preventive care and early detection, plus ongoing help managing long-term conditions. One Plus members access participating primary care physicians at negotiated member rates.
Specialists
When you need deeper expertise, One Plus provides access to participating specialists across a wide range of practices — cardiology, dermatology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, neurology, orthopedics, OB/GYN, urology, ENT, pulmonology and more.
Many services do not require the traditional insurance referral process. Confirm requirements with the provider when you schedule.

Urgent care, when it can't wait
For non-life-threatening illness or injury, a participating urgent care center is usually faster and far less expensive than a hospital emergency room.
Common reasons to go
Cold or flu, allergies, sore throat, minor infections, cuts and burns, sprains, rashes, nausea and dehydration.
No appointment needed
Visit a participating urgent care center from your directory. Call ahead to confirm hours before you go.
What to bring
Your One Plus membership information and a photo ID, so the participating provider can apply the member rate.
For a life-threatening emergency, go directly to a hospital emergency room.
Questions about doctors & urgent care
Do I need a referral to see a specialist with One Plus?
Many services available through One Plus do not require the traditional insurance referral process. Members can search for participating specialists and contact the provider directly to confirm appointment requirements.
Because individual providers may have their own policies, members should always confirm requirements before scheduling an appointment.
Can One Plus help with specialist visits?
Yes. One Plus Medical Plan provides access to participating medical specialists for eligible services. Members receive the applicable negotiated rate and pay the participating provider directly, which can make specialist care easier to budget for.
Provider availability and pricing vary depending on specialty and location.
Can I see a doctor without health insurance?
Yes. Without insurance, patients generally pay for the visit themselves. One Plus Medical Plan helps members access participating primary care doctors and specialists at negotiated member rates, which can make an eligible doctor visit more affordable than paying a provider's standard price.
One Plus does not pay the provider on the member's behalf.
What is the difference between urgent care and the emergency room?
Urgent care is for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries — colds and flu, minor infections, cuts, sprains and similar concerns. It is typically far less expensive than a hospital emergency room.
For a life-threatening emergency, go directly to a hospital emergency room. If you receive a hospital bill afterward, Hospital Advocacy may be able to help.
How soon can I use my membership after enrolling?
Once your membership is active, you can begin using participating providers and the applicable member rates. Confirm the provider participates and the rate that applies before your visit.
